"An Alaskan Experience Like No Other"

A one of a kind experience in a one of a kind place

Cockpit

We did our best to preserve the cockpit while still making it comfortable to kick back in the Captain's chair with a beer in hand.  Aside from the incredible mountain view, you'll also find the coffee station and beer fridge located in the cockpit.

Living Room

The living room is a wonderful place to gather around on the couch or at the dining table to swap stories about your flight adventures here in Alaska.  If you do not have any flight adventures to discuss, no problem, we'd be happy to take you on a glacier tour, bear tour, or just go for an adventure flight to see the state by air!

Bedrooms

The airplane home has two bedrooms (each sleeping two), plus a pullout couch in the living room for a total of 6 guests aboard if you wish.  You'll enjoy the full size bathroom, heated floors, TV in the master suite, and the quite sound of nature that surrounds the aircraft.

More Details

Climb aboard back to 1956! This DC-6 air freighter spent its life flying the skies of Alaska, hauling critical frieght and fuel to remote villages around the state.
Now you can climb aboard for one last flight and stay in this 2 bedroom, 1 bath airplane house with full kitchen, living room, and cockpit!
The DC-6 airplane house is located alongside our private airstrip (1,900ft long) and has plenty of room for your car, truck, and bushplane parking.

The space

You'll climb aboard up a flight of stairs to the Mud Room that gives you access to your airplane home via the aft Cargo loading door. You'll find your washer and dryer there and a hallway to access the Master Suite, full bathroom, and guest bedroom, as well as the Kitchen moving forward, living area, dining room, and Cockpit.

Guest access

You'll have full access to the airplane, wing deck, cockpit and all parts of the aircraft. Please note this was a flying cargo plane for over 50 years. It was designed to fly cargo, not to have babies crawl around on the floor. Please keep an eye on your children as many of the parts and systems of the original aircraft that were preserved can be dangerous if misused. There are still sharp edges and parts of equipment we left for guests to enjoy responsibly and carefully.

Other things to note

This is a real airplane that has flown around the world for many years. It has been meticulously gone over to ensure it is comfortable and safe for all of our guests. That being said, common sense is still required when walking around the outside of the aircraft and poking your head into all the compartments you do not normally have access to as a passenger. Please be safe, watch out for sharp edges, and realize that while you are welcome to explore and put your hands on all parts of the airplane inside and out, there are many parts and pieces of the airplane that still can hurt you if you do not know what you are doing.
